Day-of cancellation · purchase-moment guide

One cancellation. Ten bounded minutes.

Use this when a supervised clinic session already has a scheduled patient, a standby line is ready, and the scheduled patient cancels. It is a coordination checklist—not patient recruitment, clinical screening, or medical advice.

Minute 0

Confirm the cancellation

Use the scheduled patient capability to record the release. Do not add a reason, symptom, diagnosis, or other health detail.

Minute 1

Check the supervised-program rule

Confirm that the session, service category, cutoff, and backup process still fit the clinic or program policy.

Minute 2

Activate once

Open the private student workspace and activate the existing standby line. Do not send parallel manual offers.

Minutes 3–8

Let one offer resolve

The first waiting participant receives the offer. If it expires or is declined, the next eligible position advances in order.

Minute 9

Verify the accepted seat

Use the event history to confirm one acceptance. An acceptance is not clinical clearance or an appointment guarantee.

Minute 10

Close every unused position

ChairStandby releases the remaining standby positions automatically. Contact the clinic directly for all clinical and scheduling decisions.

Stop and contact the clinic when the rule is unclear.

Do not use ChairStandby to decide eligibility, urgency, consent, treatment, or clinical suitability. The supervised program owns those decisions, and the tool should contain no personal contact or health information.

Have the bounded standby line ready before minute zero.

$12/month per student workspace. Scheduled and standby patients join free.
